Government to Enforce Integrated Security Strategy for Polls

The government is set to introduce an integrated security strategy for the upcoming elections on March 5.

Nepal Police, APF, Nepali Army, and the investigation department will be jointly mobilized in polls as per the strategy.

Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal will discuss with top officials to finalize the blueprint of the strategy, following a meeting between President Ramchandra Paudel, Prime Minister Sushila Karki, ministers, and heads of security agencies.

The meeting, convened by President Paudel, focused on creating a conducive political environment for the elections and strengthening the overall security situation.

The home ministry comes up with an integrated security plan or strategy during every election to conduct free, fair, and secure elections.
