Leadership Revives Marshfield's Football Team

The Marshfield football team is currently 7-0 this season, a significant improvement from last year's 2-7 record. Pirates head coach John Lemmons, in his ninth year with the program, has seen a notable change in team dynamics.

Last year, players felt that a lack of leadership was a major factor in their poor performance.

"Last year, I just don't feel like enough of us stepped up, not enough of us took charge,"
said senior lineman Jamison Batdorff. Senior running back Kaleb Fox also noted that
"there was a little bit of just toxic-ness"
within the team.

This season, however, the team has

"flipped the script"
with their offense averaging 46.5 points per game. Every player is giving their all, regardless of the opponent.
