A 55-year-old Warsaw man, Apolonio Corral Jr., was arrested for allegedly possessing a firearm as a felon and shooting a gun inside an occupied residence.
Corral is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, a level 4 felony; criminal recklessness and unlawful carrying of a handgun with a prior conviction, both level 5 felonies; and neglect of a dependent, a level 6 felony.
On February 28, law enforcement responded to a report of a man shooting a gun inside a Rochester residence, where four adults and six children were present.
A woman at the home said Corral was upset with one of the adults in the residence and retrieved a revolver with the intention of confronting the adult.
