David Byrne attended the Philadelphia No Kings march before his final 'Who Is The Sky?' show at The Met.
His new album's opening track, "Everybody Laughs", showcases his inclusive view of life, where "everybody" does various things, including laughing, crying, and sleeping.
Everybody lives, dies, laughs, cries, sleeps and stares at the ceiling. Everybody’s wearing everybody else’s shoes, which not everybody does, but I have done.
Byrne's use of "everybody" aims to provide an anthropological view of life in New York.
